DAY ONE BRUNCH MEETING

[Hey there, island residents! At some point after the challenge, you have probably been approached by one of four lovely(?) people and informed of a meeting happening at mid-morning in the Chef's Shack. Brunch will be provided, and please bring your notebooks and a pen. If you happen to show up early, you might see at least one helper, maybe more, setting up tables by pushing most of them together, but leaving some pushed against the wall for food.

BLURB HERE ABOUT FOOD SETUP GOES HERE

Once everyone has arrived and has their food and is settled, Brain will clear his throat loudly for attention and start the meeting]

Good morning, everyone. I'm certain there are a number of things that we are all already aware of. Nevertheless, a brief summary: We are all trapped here in a game similar to one we are familiar for the entertainment of some mysterious audience and will be asked to commit murder for some sort of gain.

To that end, myself, Mr. Ashengrotto, Mr. Aziraphael and Mr. Stantz have asked you here to create a measure of organization so that perhaps, in sharing information and working together, we may survive with as many of us intact as possible.

To begin, here is the agenda for the meeting:

First, basic introductions. Then Mr. Stantz would like to discuss crafting a set of ground rules. Third, we have an interest in gathering data on contestants and past experiences. Next, I'll address a need to investigate this island and the buildings included. After that, Mr. Ashengrotto would like to talk about creating a daily check-in. Additionally, he would also like to discuss a cooking schedule. And finally, Aziraphael would like to suggest an alternate form of communication.

I ask that you please pay close attention and participate in this meeting as best you can.

Ok so while we do technically have "rules" for this place, I figured it would be better to have more... appropriate rules for us to get along here!

-Morning check ins are mandatory. Those who fail to show will be brought here whether they want it or not
-No murdering children. This is non-negotiable
-Quiet hours from 10-8. It's important for us to get plenty of sleep and keep each other from getting on our nerves. Plus if anything does go awry at night it'll be easier for us all to hear
-Do your best not to keep any secrets. While some may be absolutely necessary, keeping secretes from each other just breeds distrust.
-Try to get along! Disagreements are bound to happen but if it gets heated please try to find a mediator or stepping away for a few moments
-Remember that we're all in this together. This situation is terrible but we all have the same goal: to get out of here. I'm sure the last thing Chris wants is for us to work together!

Given the amount of surveillance devices around the island, I think that it would be in our best interest to come up with a covert way to relay important information to one another.

[He spares a glance to the camera watching them at this exact moment.]

Now, I did spend some time doing spy work for what I thought was British special forces back in the second world war, and during that time I learned a fairly easy cipher that I think we can use.

It would behoove everyone to learn it, of course, and perhaps even to each choose our own book to use, but that might be better suited to a separate meeting. Or even smaller groups. What do you think?

Considering we'll all be entertaining each others' company for some time, I thought it would be prudent to perhaps create a little team of those who know how to cook. We could have shifts for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Not that anyone can't make their own food for themselves, but I figure it ought to help out those who may not be so versed in the kitchen. Not to mention, it would hold us accountable for those who would want to try something funny by tampering with the food.

[ Two birds, one stone. ]

I'd also like to request people write down their name on this paper and any allergies you might have. This is just to prevent making any food that could cause reactions to anyone else. I doubt our host is so willing to give out epipens, and that would be a terrible way to murder anyone in general.
